Poor batting was again in evidence with the Under 18’s and from a promising side the season has been a disappointment. The home side batted first and were always well in command from a poor bowling attack and despite an early loss of Munroe Noble 50 and McCoy 34 took the score to 128 for 4 with only Andrew Scholes again performing well with 2 for 19. The Quay’s reply was built around Nathan Drewery who carried his bat for 47 with Jordan Gilmore also not out on 15 but they finished well short at 101 for 3 in a bad tempered game.

Bill Quay batted first and were all out for 66 with Harrison taking three for 13. Murton replied with 67 for five with an unbeaten 28 from McNamee and Neil Cuskeran taking two for 20. In all a poor performance by the Juniors when perhaps another 20 runs from the more experienced players could have swayed the result in our favour.
In an amazing game. Peterlee batted first and were dismissed for just 43 runs with the Quay’s Chris Basham returning three for 2 and Scholes two for 7. Surpassing low totals is never easy and the Quay were 23 for eight in reply. However, a remarkable stand between Sam Wraith 18 not out and Jordan Gilmore 14 not out managed to guide them home.
